About The Hungry Wife

“The Hungry Wife” actually started out by my husband first calling me “Hungry Girl” before getting married.  Reason being, I am truly a good food lover, and I enjoy everything about food – the cooking, baking, and other preparation before ending up on the table for all to enjoy.  Good food makes people happy and apparently that’s what won over my husband long ago, so he says.

Since you are reading The Hungry Wife, I’ll assume you enjoy good food as well, and am confident you’re about to find lots of delicious recipes here that will make you smile.

I inspired to start The Hungry Wife due to the sheer number of recipes available which is good, but frustrating when trying to remember where I found a specific recipe.  “Was it in this cookbook, or that one?”  “What was the name of that website?”  You get the idea.  In my kitchen I have about 15 or more recipe books, some handed down from family, while others purchased in travels about the world.  In addition to cookbooks, there are countless cooking magazines, all containing recipes.

I hope you enjoy these dishes as much as my family and I do.

Happy reading and cooking!

    Hi Brooke-

I really like your Website and admire your well informed introductions to the recipes. Take a look at my blog where I feature information of a different genre, but I try to stay informative with self-help articles.

I’ll get back to you on the link after I hear from the media team.

    Nice job!

This is great! Stumbled upon it in a search for a “light” mac and cheese. Everyone is telling me to put sqash in it but I needed something more specific. Can’t wait to try this on the next chilly spring day!! Thanks this is great, definitly bookmarking this website.

I’m so glad you are enjoying my site! I’ve been slowing down on my cooking, we are expecting a baby in a couple months so the new recipes may not be as frequent as they used to be. If there are any types of recipes you are interested in or looking for, let me know and I’ll see if I can find something delicious for you.
